About Alison Tilzey, Director

Welcome, thank you for taking your valuable time to visit AT Global Meetings and Events!

My career embarked in the amazing world of travel, events, meetings and hospitality which spans 25 years. My first job was working for a UK leading airline consolidator and organising tailor-made holidays for individuals from the UK to Asia and Australia. My love and passion for travel extended my horizons to Sydney, Australia where I lived for 12 amazing years. In that time I working a representation company for hotels, venues and DMC’s (Destination Management Companies), for two Global Hotel Groups as Director of Sales in their regional Global Sales Offices in the Meetings and Events arena before returning to my homeland of the UK 4 years ago which has enabled me to experience the UK and embrace more of Europe as a Meetings and Conference destination.

I am very fortunate to have met and work with amazing clients and colleagues around the Globe, my experience on programs includes management of the Grand Depart in Yorkshire, B2B Exhibition’s in 4 UK cities, Assessment Centre Day for a National Charity, Global Haircare UK Fashion Show visiting 4 cities in 6 days, corporate hospitality over a 4 week period for a global corporation at the Sydney Olympics to name just a few memorable events I have been involved with.

It was a natural progression to start my own event management business, family and friends had asked me to organise their events so I decided to take an exciting leap of faith! I am engaging all my years of experience, hard work and determination to the world – AT Global Meetings and Events!

My personal mantra and approach in life is “You Learn Something New Every Day!” & “Never Be Complacent” – to never to tire of any aspect of it. I am great believer in personal development and I regularly attend seminars and weekend forums with like-minded people who strive to be the best they can possibly be! The world evolves every single day … so do we!

In my downtime I train for half marathons (!), always ready for a challenge and rejoicing if I can complete a race in a better time than the last. My friends and I are currently in preparation for various activities including Survival of the Fittest and the Ben Nevis Trek – great to come together as a team, achieving one goal and of course … it’s good for the soul!
